How do you define the Danish word Hygge ? It’s not easy since there is no direct translation in English! Hygge is the Danish art of living well, a cozy ambience centered on well-being and being comfy… curled up in a soft arm chair with a good book and a hot drink in the dead of the Danish winter or sitting down to a tasty meal  in a cozy atmosphere.

In December 2017, join us in sampling Hygge : after a day discovering Arne Jacobsen’s designs to the north of Copenhagen or the redeveloped neighborhoods of Islands Brygge and Havneholmen, unwind by dining on a meal typical of the New Nordic Cuisine at Höst, a cozy restaurant with award-winning design. Learn more below about our trip to Copenhagen.
