Architectural walking tour

Confluence shows its true colors
Located in the south of Lyon's peninsula, Confluence district has long been devoted to industry and transport. Currently redesigned, Confluence is now part of the city centre.

Its assets ? A stunning landscape, the first WWF substainable neighborhood label in France, and buildings designed by major contemporary architects (Rudy Ricciotti, Christian de Portzamparc, Jakob+Mac Farlane,...).

This walking tour aims to discover the main lines of Confluence's development and proposes an analysis of the emblematic buildings at the level of the marina, such as the Hotel de Région (Christian de Portzamparc), the Monolith conceived by Comabarel-Dominique Marrec Architects, Pierre Gautier Architecture, EEA, Manuelle Gautrand architecture, MVRDV), etc.

The tour includes a visit the Hotel of Region, a public institution building designed by Christian de Portzamparc. Access is available under certain conditions (we have to book this access at least 15 days before the tour).
